SARDINIA: 5 days BETWEEN SEA, PIGLET AND A SIGNATURE CLOSET
Short but intense: chronicle of a Sardinian holiday between sisters, DIY and myrtle
A summer adventure in Sardinia that is tinged with the colors of the sea, the polished wood and the unforgettable flavors of the island, but that ends too soon.
Sardinia, with its enchanting beaches and crystal clear sea, was the chosen setting for the vacation of the sisters Cuniberti, Belinda and Bula. A long-awaited, dreamed stay, which promised to be a total immersion in the relaxation and carefree of the island. And so it was, even if, in spite of us, the company lasted particularly little. Unfortunately, five days are very few to fully savor the magic of the island, leaving a veil of sweet nostalgia.

The days flew away light, marked by the rhythm of the waves and the boat trips that allowed us to discover hidden corners of paradise along the coast. The warm sun on the skin, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub and the dives in a water that seemed painted were the travel companions of an adventure that promised to be unforgettable.
But this holiday wasn’t just the sea. Between one bath and another, tireless creativity has found a way to express itself. Accomplices a wardrobe in the guest room that needed new attention and the resourcefulness of Cecilia and the legendary Bula, an unexpected DIY project was born. With a contagious dedication and passion, the two armed themselves with sandpaper and brushes. The wardrobe was carefully sanded, bringing to light the beauty of the wood, and then repainted following the impeccable and superb taste of Bula. The result? A piece of furniture completely transformed, a real masterpiece that now embellishes the room, silent witness of an afternoon of laughter and shared work.

To crown a self-respecting Sardinian experience, a dip in the local culinary tradition could not be missing. A special evening was dedicated to the tasting of the “piglet”, the famous Sardinian porceddu, cooked slowly until it reaches an external crunchiness that contrasts with the tenderness of its meats. An authentic flavor, strong and unforgettable, which delighted the palates and warmed the atmosphere.

The dinner ended in a riot of sweetness and local aromas: the seadas, fried desserts filled with fresh cheese and covered with honey, gave an explosion of sweet and sour taste, while the glasses of myrtle, the symbolic liquor of Sardinia, sealed the evening with their intense and fragrant notes.
And so, between the taste of the myrtle and the memory of the waves, the holiday came to an end, faster than we would have liked. A too short but intense stay, which left its mark on the heart and a wonderfully renovated wardrobe, symbol of a summer of affection, creativity and unforgettable flavors.
